Effective June 30th, 2023, Honeybee will discontinue dispensing controlled substance medications due to increased difficulty in obtaining and dispensing these medications at affordable prices.
If you are an existing customer with a controlled substance prescription that we have previously dispensed, we can continue to provide this service until June 30th, 2023. After this date, any new prescriptions received will be deactivated in our system, and we will inform you accordingly.
Transferring Your Prescriptions
To best assist you in transferring your prescription, please provide the pharmacy name and phone number. Our team will handle the rest and make sure your prescription is transferred to them. A few things to note:
- The prescription must have a previous dispense associated with it. New prescriptions that have not yet been dispensed are not transferrable in accordance with DEA pharmacy regulations.
- Controlled substance prescriptions are only transferrable once. Please make sure the pharmacy you will be using is able to dispense this medication for you before we transfer the prescription. If your existing prescription was previously transferred to us at Honeybee, we cannot transfer it out again.
- For New York patients, we are not able to transfer controlled substances at all per New York state laws. Your prescriber will need to provide a new prescription to your new pharmacy.
If we are unable to transfer your prescription, we are happy to help communicate with your prescriber. We can let them know that your current prescriptions on file will be deactivated so that they can provide new prescriptions to your new pharmacy.
Please reach out with any questions; we are always happy to help! You can email us at support@honeybeehealth.com or give us a call. Our phone number is 833-466-3979, and we're available from 6AM-6PM PT M-F, and 7AM-3:30PM PT on Saturday.
